BVM ,USN , today observed National Cancer awareness day with an objective to create awareness about the deadly life threatening disease. According to World Health Organization (WHO), cancer is the second-deadliest disease in the world that is affecting people. Educating the students about this serious threat , Dr.Upma Sharma, Emergency Medical Officer at Vijaya Hospital, through her virtual message, enlightened everyone with some vital facts about it and suggesting everyone with the need to know the causes and symptoms leading to early detection of the disease so that appropriate medication and treatment can be accessed. She urged to shun sedentary lifestyle ,to consume immunity booster healthy fresh homemade food and say no to tobacco consumption, to make our world cancer free.
Alongwith this Infant protection day was also observed with a motive to spread awareness about the safety of the infants and protect their lives by taking proper care of them right from their infancy. A beautiful video on infant protection day, prepared by Rabia (XI Com) highlighted the importance of the day. The toddlers a ray of hope, and dream of possibilities are citizens of tomorrow. Hence it is our duty to ensure a secure infancy of the infants for the sake of a healthy , prosperous and progressive nation tomorrow and thus making the world a better place.
Members of the BVM Trust appreciated the efforts for creating health awareness among the youth for a healthy lifestyle. Principal Bandana Sethi also exhorted the students to take care of their health and nurture the future generation in the cocoon.
